24-Hour Prion People

I'm a comics writer and political psychologist. My comics have been published in anthologies like Popgun, Comic Book Tattoo, and 24seven, all (coincidentally) put out by Image Comics.

Tracy Williams and I collaborate on Goodbye Chains, a Western comic noir about the early days of the American labor movement and its intersectionality with the technology of the time. (Translated, it's about a Communist who blows things up.) When I draw comics, it turns out like this--which is to say, oddly.

I can be reached at bigblacksmoke (atat-walker) gmail.com.

Dear DC, (yeah, it’s not another Dear, Marvel letter!)

dazzledfirestar:

You say that if we want more female creators/better representations that we should do it ourselves.

I’d be happy to.

You say we should send in our stuff and you’ll see if it works out.

Liars. You don’t accept blind submissions. Neither does your major competitor and guess what! Most of us don’t have the funds to get started on our own.

Do you see the disconnect in your argument here? Do it yourself but we won’t let you.

Huh. Classy move, fellas.

No love,

Daz
